COMPONENT ASSEMBLER (Saskatoon)

Reporting to an Assembly Team Leader and the Production Manager, the Assembler is responsible for assembling trusses according to standard work operating procedures

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Works with a Team Leader to set up the workstation for each order
  • Assembles trusses in accordance with the company standard work operating procedures
  • Regularly inspects and checks the quality of the work being performed as well as the quality of the materials and condition of the equipment, reporting any problems to the Team Leader
  • Maintains a clean workstation throughout the shift, and especially cleaning up shortly before the end of the shift
  • Responsible for using all equipment and operating all machinery in a safe, accurate and careful manner

Knowledge:

  • Experience in truss plant operation and assembly, framing or carpentry experience is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize, work productively and cooperate in a team environment.
  • Strive toward developing new skills and embrace change.

SALES MANAGER (Saskatoon)

We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the sales and marketing function of the division for engineered wood products.

Responsibilities

  • Promote services of products and projects to major clients.
  • Leads, coaches, and manages the technical sales representatives, to achieve divisional sales goals.
  • Researches and develops marketing strategies and plans.
  • Remains current on new products.
  • Support General Manager to develop and attain Annual Sales Budget expectations.
  • Provide quotes and process sales ensuring all processes and deadlines are met.
  • Attends appropriate industry related events.
  • Respond to designer and production enquiries.
  • Proactively and systematically manage customer portfolio.
  • Leads weekly sales meetings.
  • Assist in design process as required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • CPSA Designation preferred.
  • Design experience is considered an asset.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license.
  • MS Office, MBA (MiTek Business Application).

DESIGN TECHNOLOGIST, SENIOR - REMOTE, (Regina, Saskatoon) 

Reporting to the Design Manager, this position is responsible for translating proposals and sales orders into accurate shop drawings, maintaining design integrity and within an appropriate time frame to include shop production and to meet the customer’s delivery requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Read, analyze, and transfer information received from Sales Department into various Mitek or other design programs to produce truss layouts and engineered drawings for complex residential, commercial or farm projects.
  • Communicate as required with, Sales Reps, Building Officials and Customers to resolve any design concerns.
  • Respond to inquiries from Sales Reps.
  • Enter accurate and complete information into management program to produce proper shop work orders.
  • Communicate with Sales and Customer to secure approved design and once received ensure work orders are forwarded to Design Administrative Assistant in a timely fashion.
  • Complete and submit reports (i.e. time cards, Site Issue reports, etc.).
  • Attend regularly scheduled design meetings to stay informed with the department and contribute to discussions about its processes and direction.
  • Assist Intermediate and Junior Designers as required to develop their design skill level.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with all staff using good communication skills.
  • Attend regularly held Design meetings.
  • Encourage and be open to ideas from staff or peers to ensure that daily huddles are effective and motivating.
  • Continually look for new and better ways of servicing our customers.
  • Maintain housekeeping practices in your work area.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by the Design Manager.

Knowledge/ Experience

  • Preferred 5+ years’ experience in both Commercial and Residential wood truss & EWP design.
  • Manufacturing technology, especially related to wood, truss and building manufacturing.
  • Proficient in the use of Mitek .
  • Management and Engineering software (or equivalent to Mitek).
  • Strong mathematical skills with high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints.
  • Basic engineering design and principals.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in operating typical office equipment (i.e. Printer/scanner/copier, phone, etc.
  • Knowledge in the use of drafting software.

Director of Design and Engineering, this position is responsible to work with the Design Departments in reviewing and designing the structural systems for the All-Fab Group. This includes maintaining design integrity while also being cost effective for the customer.

  • Conducting and filling out reports for pre and post shift inspection of equipment
  • Ensure load is fully secured
  • Deliver trusses and other building materials
  • Ensure deliveries are made on time and include all necessary materials
  • Responsible for using all equipment and operating all machinery in a safe, correct and careful manner as instructed
  • Maintaining delivery timelines
