EXPERIENCED SAWYERS REQUIRED (Nu-Fab Saskatoon)

Duties:

  • Regularly inspects the equipment and maintains safe operation at all times, reporting problems to the Manager
  • Undertakes preventative maintenance servicing of the equipment such as cleaning, greasing and lubricating
  • Cuts and labels or marks lumber in strict accordance with the Schedule and Procedures for using each saw, furnished by the Manager
  • Regularly inspects the quality of lumber before and after cutting according to the Quality Inspection Guidelines
  • Completes all cutting reports when required
  • Notifies Fork Lift driver as required and in accordance with the procedures and standards for each workstation, furnished by the Manager
  • Assists other members of the Production Team when requested by the Manager
  • Maintains a clean, safe workstation, clear of debris, especially cleaning up shortly before the end of shift
  • Responsible for using all equipment and operating all machinery in a safe, correct and careful manner, as instructed
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Able to operate Speed-Cut Saw (radial arm saw with quick change angles), the Max Cutter, Component Saw, C.N.C. operated saws and other saws as needed
  • Able to read and understand tape measure in the foot-inch-sixteenth method
  • Able to read and understand Cutting Reports
  • Verbal and written language proficiency(English)
  • Working cooperatively and supportive as a member of a team
  • Manufacturing industry knowledge, especially related to wood and building manufacturing
  • Scheduling flexibility including a willingness to work overtime considered an asset

Assembler – Production Department (Nu-Fab Saskatoon)

Summary
Reporting to an Assembly Team Leader and the Production Manager, the Assembler is responsible for assembling trusses according to SWOP
Duties/Responsibilities

  • Works with a Team Leader to set up the workstation for each order as directed by the Team Leader
  • Assembles trusses in accordance with the company procedures, SWOP and as instructed by Team Leader
  • Regularly inspects and checks the quality of the work being performed as well as the quality of the materials and condition of the equipment; and reports any problems to the Team Leader
  • Maintains a clean workstation throughout the shift, and especially cleaning up shortly before the end of the shift
  • Responsible for using all equipment and operating all machinery in a safe, correct and careful manner, as instructed

Knowledge

  • Able to use hammer & read tape measure in the foot-inch-sixteenth method.
  • Able to read & understand work orders.
  • Verbal and written language proficiency (English)
  • Working cooperatively and supportive as a member of a team

Production Truss Assembler (Nu-Fab Saskatoon)

Forklift Operator(Nu-Fab Saskatoon)

Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload incoming and outgoing lumber orders
  • Stage and build lumber packages
  • Keep yard clean of debris and well organized
  • Rotate stock
  • Complete delivery shipping list and all required paperwork for product
  • Assist others as instructed by supervisor
  • Report any unauthorized persons or suspicious activity to the supervisor or other senior
    management team member
  • Conduct daily check of forklift to ensure safe operation and report any required maintenance or
    damage to Shipping Manager daily
  • Maintain a clean forklift inside and out
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications required:

Driver Class 1A (Nu-Fab Regina)

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Conducting and filling out reports for pre and post shift inspection of equipment
  • Ensure load is fully secured
  • Deliver trusses and other building materials
  • Ensure deliveries are made on time and include all necessary materials
  • Responsible for using all equipment and operating all machinery in a safe, correct and careful manner as instructed
  • Maintaining delivery timelines
  • Conduct yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  • Keeps truck clean
  • Other duties as required

Knowledge:

  • Current Class 1A with air
  • Clear driving abstract
  • Forklift experience an asset
  • Knowledge of City of Regina and surrounding area
  • Understand city bylaws and permit requirements
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and attitude at all times
